Jammu blast fallout: Police appeals shopkeepers to install CCTV cameras to keep city safe | KNO

Jammu, March 09 (KNO) : Following Thursday's grenade blast in Jammu blast in which two persons were killed and dozens injured police urged business establishments to install CCTV cameras to help the force to keep the city safe. According to KNO correspondent Police activated all its agencies to track down the attacker and wishing six hours after the blast they were successfully to nab the accused. "He was caught hold of on the basis of oral testimony and CCTV footages," sources told KNO. Appealing the shopkeepers to install CCTV's Inspector General of Police, Jammu, M K Sinha took to twitter saying it will help in keeping the city safe. “Appeal to all market associations in Jammu city. Help Jammu police in keeping your city safe. Install as many CCTV cameras looking out from your shops and establishments as possible. Early action would be very helpful,” Sinha wrote to twitter. Police, following the blast, launched an extensive manhunt for the perpetrators of the blast that created fear in the region. They later arrested Yasir Javed Bhat,of Khanpora-Dassein of Kulgam. According to Police Bhat was ordered to lob the explosive by a Hizbul Mujahideen commander Farooq Ahmad Bhat alias “Umar. The swift action by police led them to Bhat, who was nabbed at Negator.(KNO)
